Canmore Minor Hockey Association will assist in the application for financial aid for those families who want their children to play hockey and need financial help. All potential recipients must first apply to the Bow Valley Chapter of KidSport OR KidSport Alberta Provincial Fund, who will then assess their financial need and provide the initial funding.

The Flames Even Strength program is expanding outside of Calgary to support hockey for all children playing in leagues in southern Alberta. What this means for Canmore Minor Hockey participants from low income families (and applying to the Bow Valley or Provincial Fund Chapter's of KidSport), is that they will now have access to no-cost equipment from the Calgary Flames Sports Bank. Before applying to KidSport, families will need to register with CMHA and then apply to the KidSport Bow Valley Chapter OR Provincial Fund Chapter. Section 5 of the paper application covers equipment needs.
